please help me decide what range to buy to match Samsung fridge

I have stainless steel Samsung french door fridge and Samsung dishwasher. Both frige and dishwasher have round handles. I need to buy a range now. I would love to have and cook on a gas range but Samsung offers only electric ranges with that has flat handles. It is ok to mismatch the look? The appliances will be not side by side but still you can see them all at a glance.

Yes it's fine that they don't all match - find a range with the features that you want - that's the most important thing.

I have a Samsung Fridge and an Electrolux dual-fuel range. We chose the range first and picked out the fridge after. One of the reasons we were first drawn to the fridge was because we thought the two could work together, but were sold on the Samsung dual cooling feature. I'm really happy with both choices so far, but it's only been a couple of weeks, so maybe it's really too soon to say.

Sorry for not posting back until now; all our things are finally moved into our new home. Now to clean the old one so we can get renters! Thank you all for your opinions and advice! I did go ahead and order the Kenmore range. I considered a GE range, but in the end, I would have had to pay almost 2xs as much for a similarly featured range. I did research through consumer reports, and for 2013, GE and Frigidaire tied for first, for brand reliability in the gas range category. Kenmore was just one point behind. I also have a Kenmore range in my old home (don't know if it was made by Frigidaire at that time), and it is at least 12 years old. It doesn't look pretty, but everything is still functioning well. Anyway, for the price I couldn't justify the GE purchase. There are both good and bad reviews for both brands. It seems you either luck out with a good appliance, or a problematic one, in either case! Thanks again!

So glad to come across this post. I am in nearly the same position. A 30" gas Kenmore Elite is supposed to show up next week and I am not excited! Nearly all my research on the Kenmore was positive and price wise it was good. I wanted a 30" gas burner, convection oven, slide in. Reading not so good reviews on the GE Cafe or any others such as KA or Electrolux (and and a significant up in price from the Kenmore) - sent me to the Kenmore. But honestly I don't trust the back control panel to last long & really don't like the look or need the features. I just want to turn the stove and burners on and off. We seriously considered the Bertazzoni but the oven was way too small (it is very pretty and basic functioning) and next thing we know are looking at Wolf for more than 3x the price of the Kenmore! It is amazing how you can mentally upgrade. We love to cook but spent the last 4 years with an ancient hotpoint that only had three functioning burners and was fine (my husband not so much :) I am glad to hear good things about the Cafe & others. Any more input on those 30" slide in "mid range" stoves - KA, Electrolux, GE - would be wonderful. And I am going to check out the NXR. Thanks.

I am watching my Samsung refrigerator's electronic panel fade away...it also cools unevenly. In the past, when I've had other appliances that needed repair, my very reliable repairman would always recommend GE when it was time to replace anything. The store he works at sells all the major brands, but he still recommends GE. I have a GE range in my current house, and in my last house. They've worked reliably without fuss. I've also had reliable performance from Kitchenaid built-in appliances. Still, I'm not willing to write off Samsung: they continue to sell affordable, innovative products that tempt me.

I'd say.. -built-in. -match white to the stove..well as much as you can. Or do another color cabinets/wood stain..cream plus white, not easy to pull off when it's semi-permanent elements. One will look "muddier" than another, by comparison..you need either better match, or intentional contrast. If you were talking about mixing fabrics etc-it'd be much easier to go with huge range of different whites. Cabinets and appliances-wouldn't risk it. will be interesting to hear others' opinions

If you really like to cook and bake, and really use your kitchen, I encourage you to do as Weissman advises and choose the range that suits your needs best. I do like how my kitchen looks, but love much more how it functions and how the features and performance of my appliances help me create successful meals or baked goods. I paid no attention to handle style, and have appliances of all different brands in my kitchen. Those are the things you may notice the first few days when you're picking things apart and wanting to be sure you made all the right choices, but after that those little detail issues fade out, and I bet no one who comes into your kitchen will notice at all. If you give up a feature or a better brand in exchange for style, I think that's what you'll regret in the long run. Get a great range and have fun cooking! :-)

We have the GE Monogram ZET 1 with the tubular handle, not the chunky one---sorry I can't remember exactly what they are called. Anyway, we will be getting the Samsung French door refrigerator. Initially when I was trying to put the kitchen together I was trying to either match or coordinate handles. But, eventually I just decided I was more interested in how everything functioned. I picked what I thought would be the best appliances regardless of the handles. That being said, however, my dishwasher and beverage fridge are paneled and have the same pulls as some of my drawers. The microwave has that push function and no handle. So I guess my oven and fridge are mismatched with the rest of the kitchen as well as with each other. HTH.
