KA or Frigidare slide in gas range-Have to decide
Comments (7)Cindy, I have the stainless with black cooktop and have had it for about 8 months. The temp seemed a little off to me and I used an oven thermometer and it was about 20 degrees too low. I used it that way and would add 20 each time I'd use it until someone told me to calibrate it. There are directions in the owners manual how to do this. Very simple. Just a few buttons pressed and it was correct. No, I have not used the convection feature (honestly I forgot about it!) I have not had any problems with it. I have heard many negative comments about the KA-noisy fan, blows circuit breakers- just to name a few....See MoreBosch Benchmark Gas Range or GE Cafe Gas Range?

Comments (14)Nope. I mean, sure, it won't melt the microwave, but as has been said before, OTR microwaves are dangerous just from being OTR and have woefully insufficient vents, especially if they're recirculating. And that's the good ones. :) What free means is that they have to give them away to get rid of them. :) To be fair, it is also possible that it's just a way of stimulating sales by giving a freebie, the way Thermador gives away dishwashers. Easier than doing a price reduction. People are a lot less sensitive to the end of a giveaway promotion than a return to regular price....See MoreNew Samsung Flex Duo slide-in double oven range
Comments (9)I am considering this Samsung model #NE58F9710WS. It's the one that is a double oven with one door, but has a divider on the inside of the oven. It also has a warming drawer at the bottom. I've never considered this model until I had a salesman, who owns one, told me how it works. Each section of the oven has a controller where you can set different temperatures or you can heat only 1/2 of it. Both are convection. The only time you would take the divider out is if you were baking something large, like a turkey. I'm getting ready to remodel my kitchen and I'm also thinking about a Samsung refrigerator. I haven't ordered yet, but I'm seriously thinking about it. I would love to hear other opinions on Samsung appliances. Here's a link to the range. http://m.lowes.com/pd/Samsung-Smooth-Surface-5-Element-Slide-In-Convection-Electric-Range-Stainless-Steel-Common-30-in-Actual-29-8-in/50086168...See More- 8 years ago
