Low Ceiling Height -- your thoughts?

Hello,

We're in the process of remodeling, and adding a master bath. For this, I've re-purposed half of the existing (very large) laundry room, which backs up to the master bedroom. Works well from a layout perspective and made plumbing easy, but the downside is the ceiling height. The room has an asymetrical vaulted ceiling, 7'4 at the lowest (outer walls) and 8'6 highest (interior wall).

In order to fit the necessary ductwork and fan, we currently have framed the ceiling height flat, all the way across, at 7'4 high. The entire room is 9'6 x 8. There are lots of windows and natural light.

I'm worried now the room is going to feel like a claustrophobic cave. By getting creative with ductwork I could potentially elevate parts of the ceiling, but it will not be without challenges.

Does anyone have suggestions or thoughts on a 7'4 ceiling? I know it is very low...will it make me feel like a hobbit?

Thank you and sorry for the long-winded message...
