Anyone Have a Blomberg, Bosch or Whirlpool Dishwasher?
Comments (6)Thank you. We are a family of 8! so basically do at least 2 or 3 washes a day. The Bosch I would get is smaller so as to be ADA compliant (fixed counter, sunken dishwasher). It would not have a 3rd rack. It is just a little prettier than the Whirlpool and Fridge (still has front controls so not stunning). Because we do so many loads I am nervous about not having a dry cycle. I do not want lots of wet plastic in my future, although I realize there are worse things. Quiet does not worry me as our kitchen is not used except for cooking, everything happens in the den which is not near the kitchen. I got what fit two years ago and ended up with a leaky GE lemon! So I am really worried about reliability. If I redo the kitchen (not holding my breath there), I will want a full size dishwasher so would replace this one anyway. So the cheapest is the Fridge for 530, then whirlpool for 630 and the most expensive is the Bosch for 850-900, is it worth it?! Will I miss the heated dry?...See MoreHave an ADA-compliant Dishwasher?
Comments (2)from what I read on a google site the height is gained backed by removing the particle pulverizer/catcher part. It said it'd need to be removed by hand. the other thing it mentioned was height of controls - being not over 48" from the floor. that sounds like for someone in a wheelchair. I'm disabled and if I were redoing my kitchen (and had the money) I'd put in dish drawers. Maybe just 1 because I'd probably seldom use the bottom one. the other option would be to put in a raised dw - that'd involve moving plumbing for me. check out what ADA means in the brand your mom would like - in case it changes from one to another....See MoreBest ADA dishwasher? Comments (13)FYI while Miele describes PG8080i as 'integrated', they describe the ProfiLine PG 8083 SCVi as 'fully-integrated'. ( I guess that's the control panel vs no visible panel.) Seems that 8083 is not listed as ADA compliant, though 8080i is. A bit of a tangent, but wondering what the water usage on the PG8080i is?When I went to a Miele dealer to look, a salesperson steered away from professional line even though they had one on the floor (though I think it was actually professional 'for the home' PG 8083 SCVi they had on the floor), saying they were quick but much more water usage, and louder. But the loudness is 48 dB (well 49 in USA lol, apparently the Canadian version is quieter??!, see Canadian spec sheet vs US), so I"m not really taking her word as gospel on any other points, as I don't think 48 dB is 'much louder" than my current Classic ((46 dB)? My partner was very put off by the idea of high water usage and won't endorse going with the 8080i in new build if this is truly the case, anyone know about water usage? Spec sheets don't show water usage to my knowledge....See MoreADA dishwasher help
Comments (2)As Joe said, adjust the legs. The toe kick is also adjustable to cover the gap at the bottom after you've adjusted the legs....See Moremysteryclock
