I've purchased the LG 1.5 CU.FT. COUNTERTOP MICROWAVE WITH EASYCLEAN LMS1531ST WxHxD=21 7/8" x 12 19/32" x 17 7/32" It was on sale for CAN$150 at Future Shop (with free shipping). That will just fit in the interior width of the cabinet, which is 22.5". I am planning a solution similar to the blogger's one that I posted above (on Apr 2, 14 at 15:22). sanbarfl: In the beginning I noticed our GE Profile FD water dispenser reservoir had water sitting in it all the time. Yet we never saw the dispenser dripping. I decided to do a test. There is only the 2 of us. DH would leave for work before me. Then I'd soak up the water in the reservoir with a paper towel before leaving for work. I come home 1st & the reservoir is bone dry. DH then comes home & all thru the night I'd soak up water from the reservoir. I thought opening & closing the door must make it drip. Then DH was away for 3 days and I used the fridge normally. I found no water in the reservoir for the 3 days that he was away. Apparently, when he fills a glass, he removes the glass too soon after releasing the dispenser handle. I always hold my glass there for 2-3 seconds after releasing the dispenser handle to make sure I catch all the water. For me the problem was DH. I wish you luck getting this problem fixed.

It's completely legal, and it's how many of us bought our cameras in the '70s through '90s, but you can expect the manufacturer's warranty won't be honored in the US, so you'd have to haul the thing back to Canada to get LG to pay for repairs the first year. After that, since it uses virtully the same parts as a fridge that was sold for many years in the US, finding someone who can repair it, even authorized LG service agents, should be easy. Companies never like grey-market imports taking business away from their chosen importers, so don't expect LG to give you the green light. Instead, call an appliance store near the border, ask them to look at the placard inside the door (or in the use & care or installation manual) and see if there's any reference to American service addresses, phone numbers, or at least UL certification. Some will have US yellow "EnergyGuide" stickers on them, often reversible to Canadian energy guides. you can probably find a dealer along the southern border willing to send one across state lines - especially smaller mom & pop independent shops that need every sale they can get and are less tied down with corporate-HQ policies to follow. If all else falls, plan a trip to Montreal or Toronto - plenty of interesting things to do there besides scoping out exotic appliances.... just bring a truck, van, SUV, or some wagons large enough to hold a boxed fridge, probably on its side.

I did do a normal/hot wash with towels as my first load & it was good, but I had nothing to really compare it to. I haven't had a chance to look at specialty wash etc yet. My DH already thinks I'm nutso for taking a picture & posting it, can't imagine what he'll think of videos! :) Next wash, I promise!! enduring, it is the 24" set, I didn't have room for anything bigger. I took a chance on them because I couldn't find any on the floor of any store to look at. I really like the touch screen controls on them, but I'm used to my Elux gas range & it's very much the same even tho my range is 7 years old. It was really easy to set up with the drain for the dryer into the same drain as the washer, I didn't want to have to remember to empty the reservoir & we didn't have any trouble changing the door swing, the instructions were very good. whirlpool_trainee, thanks for posting about the humidity levels, it was one thing I worried about, living in a rain forest, the last thing I needed was more humidity. The other thing that had me worried was the door wide open or totally closed issue that plagues FL machines, I am able to leave the door open about 3" & it stays that way, with no problem getting my laundry closet door closed.
