Everybody blame me! I scratched our brand new Electrolux Range..!
Comments (9)Electrolux sent me a new metal panel by Fedex Next Day. I needed the metal panel on which the knobs were located. The authorized tech will come and install it in a few days. Covered by warranty. They didn't ask many questions. Incidentally, when the panel did not arrive last week when scheduled, I called them and they reordered it saying there must have been some confusion. I received it last week. But, to my surprise, two days ago, I got a second package with the electronic wave touch control panel that is located on the top of the range (albeit with a small plastic tab broken off in transit I suppose). They must have misunderstood the part I wanted the second time. So, in case my electronics ever get fried I now have a free spare. I just have to glue the broken tab back on. Go Electrolux!...See Morechosing a new electrolux or fridgdaire washer. need input!
Comments (19)One of the biggest problems is the delivery personnel! 1. When the truck arrive, keep in box. 2. Once inside unpack and install pedestal. 3. Remove shipping bolts and hookup hoses. 4. Adjust feet's until all for corners are set firmly. 5. Test machine/start up routine. 6. Do a load of towels and spin on minimum or low to see which feet needs adjustment before locking legs. Sorry to hear you had two lemons without sweetener and stepping down to the IQ may or may not make a big difference if problems is caused by shipping. Good luck and keep us posted!...See MoreRe: Alice the New Softener Arrived!
Comments (18)Hello Alice & Lurk, Thank you for the really kind & caring thoughts Alice. At this point I am a bit overwhelmed with lots of family details to figure out. I decided last night after reading your message Alice that I am going to delegate the replacement of the board & find a Softener guy to change it out. I did some searching on the web for a local contact & called 2 companies. The first guy, owner operator 2nd generation in the softener business was very knowledgeable but said he only installs/services "Autotrol" valves. He didn't say anything bad about Fleck valves, just switched over to Autotrol years ago & hasn't worked on Fleck in years. He really did not want to fool with replacing the board. The second guy another owner operator but young guy hasn't called back yet, left him a message late this afternoon. I looked on his web-site & he does some really nice/clean installs. Looks like he uses the "Clack" valves? I really like the idea Alice of the 30 day override; I did not think we could do that. I will be making regular trips to check on the house so we could do 15-20 days if you think that would be better for the resin? You tell me? Anyway I am rambling here watching the World Series, Go Giants! Also thanks Lurk that makes perfect sense about the anti-static discharges. A friend of mine (IT guy) taught me that trick when changing out/upgrading RAM in my laptop. I will confirm whomever does the board knows that info prior to doing it for sure. Thanks so much for helping me out....See MoreI tested Electrolux's new front-loading washer and here's what I found
Comments (36)No need to drown readers with input. But a facts are helpful. # of loads. type of loads, f.ex. whites, towels, poly workout etc. enzyme/non-enzyme detergent? very different results with Method liquid vs Persil Pro Clean f.ex. temperatures tested i.e how hot is the hot wash? You told us 125F. Is that as hot as it goes? Internal heater? Number of cycles & Range of cycle lengths These are quick facts that should be known up front. A pretty interface is fine though it doesn't do anything for me. Who cares if the machine mixes -- I put all the stuff in first. I want it to work best not stupidist. Also why certain things, like a heater and number of cycles are important and why they are not. Then folks can adjust response to their needs....See Morerococogurl
