27' Double Wall Oven Choices
Comments (7)You mentioned not having the 60". How much space do you have? I had the same problem and it took 4ever to pick out something. I ended up with the Viking dbl. I can't remember what the exact measurements were, but when the company came out the measure, they told me that it would fit w/o any changes. I have the "Pro" model. I haven't had any problem with the ovens so far - it's been about 8 months now. I will say though, measure well. Although the company said it would fit my cabinet, it was oh so tight. I can't see it coming back out for repairs or anything without breaking it. But as I said, no trouble so far. When I asked my sales guys about the CS (because of all the CS complaints here), they told me that they never have a problem with it. Of course I would be going through them though for service. The one thing they told me is that they have had a lot of problems getting parts for other models, but not the Viking, and that's why they recommended that brand....See More27' double oven
Comments (12)I have been searching for a 30" double oven since Christmas. I have read reviews about every oven out there, including many reviews from this forum. Originally, I was drawn to the Thermador Pro Series, mainly because it was the look I wanted and had all the features I was looking for. However, the negative reviews were too many to ignore. After visiting a local showroom with many high end appliances, I found I was also drawn to the new Jenn-Air double ovens, but determined there wasn't enough information out there and no reviews ... too new. I had read about the Gaggenau's and Miele's on this site (as well as many others), but had almost ruled them out as cost prohibitive. After several weeks of dedicated research, I couldn't resist the great reviews and the obvious quality of the Gaggenau ovens, especially after seeing one in a showroom. By ordering online, I saved more than $2,000. I ordered a new refrigerator from the same online company about five years ago and we were very pleased. Everything as ordered, full warranties, etc. For anyone considering buying online, I hope this information is valuable. I should have my new ovens in approximately three weeks and I can't wait to let everyone know how they are working! The Gaggenau double ovens are a little over 56" long (exterior measurement), longer than most we looked at (at around 51"), so we will need to have some cabinet revisions made prior to installation. Thanks everyone for your comments. I think you have helped me make a great decision!...See More27' Wall Oven-Dacor/Thermador/GE Monogram/Kitchen Aid??
Comments (8)I have double wall ovens from Dacor - 27 inch. They work fine including the meat probe. However I still prefer to use a Polder dual thermometer- you get one probe with a thin wire that connects to a small digital screen. It measures both the temperature of the oven and the meat so you get 2 read outs. You can set it to beep when the oven reaches your desired temperature and also set the meat when it reaches the desired temp. I don't think Wolf makes a 27 inch, at least they didn't when I bought my Dacor....See MoreNeed recommendations for 27 inch double wall oven (convection)
Comments (4)We have Thermador 27" double convection ovens. I would have preferred 30" ovens, but we didn't have enough room. I love the ovens. The controls are easy to understand and use, it bakes well, and I like the glide-out rack. Thermador posted the wrong specs on their web site, so we had a little installation issue. That was fixed by the installer....See Moredeeageaux
