Window condensation rotting the wood frame

I have read all the previous posts on this problem and understand what is causing the condensation on our windows. My question is what is everyone doing about the rotting wood that the condensation causes over the years? We have Andersen windows and our house is 11 yrs. old. Just this year we sanded and restained and varnished the edges of the windows. On some of the windows the wood has turned black from the water.

We are going to be building again this spring and am wondering are Andersen windows the best choice or do all brands have this condensation problem? Will an air exchanger help this problem? The humidity in the house is around 60%, but when it's lower we have dry skin and sore throats all winter long. Seems like this is a common problem, but are there any solutions?
