Help with glass shower door configuration?

My shower is enclosed on 3 sides, so will just need glass across the opening, which will be 41" after it is tiled. I'd like to get a frameless door; I can get 3/8" or 1/2" glass. The question I have for those of you who have experience/knowledge is whether to go with a 30" door and an 11" fixed panel on the hinge side or the handle side (if that's even possible). Or, split up the 11" in some way and have the door attach both to a glass panel at the hinge side and the handle side. Or a larger/smaller door? French doors? I'd like to be able to open the door and turn on the shower with the least amount of contortioning! There are no obstructions to any of these configurations, but if I put at least a small glass panel on the handle side (so the door doesn't crash into it - if I get a 2 way swinging door), I might put a grab bar just inside the opening. Ideas or advice much appreciated.
