I'm planning on using the Lee Valley clips and wood strips. Bob_cville, Lowspark, and Loves2cookfor6 over the years have posted their organized drawers using this system. A quick google lead me to this thread, but there are many others with more pics and instructions if you look around. They take a little work as its not a pre-formed tray you plop in, but looks well worth the effort. Now if only I could find the right way to spring it on DH that he'll need to spend hours helping me with this project.... :) Here is a link that might be useful: Some pics of organized drawers with Lee Valley system

Thanks alot, I appreciate everyone's kind comments. Mrs. Marv.. No we didn't add the same round tile to the medallion, it's a different type of trim piece. It's the same as it was. squirrel...Yes, adding the sealant was part of the plan, but I didn't realize that it would make such a difference. I was very happy that it did. I didn't like the look much at all before the sealant was applied. I had to wait a few days to add the sealant so during that time is when I was really worried about what I had done. Ms. rose.. The granite on the counter top is st. cecelia and on the island is brazillian black. I'm not really sure of the official name. Oceann..The gold accents ae to coordinate with the rest of the room. Attached is a picture of our MULTI-PURPOSE Room

Mom of seven here. We farm which means everyone has two full wardrobes of everything: Farm and Town. I have some quick ideas for you, no time to be diplomatic sorry. You need to purge. Dozens of hats are not necessary for six people. Choose two each: one light weight beanie and one really warm toque. Ditto mittens/gloves: one lighter weight for dashing to the grocery store, one heavy pair for skiing etc. Each person's stuff will fit in one basket. No one needs more than one pair of Crocs or flip flops. Those can go on a shoe rack by the door. Put a towel hook over the closet door, that's where everyone can store their towel. Colour coding avoids fights: Payton can't say that Blake stole her towel if hers is yellow and his is green. Bathing suits can be stored where they change. Check out the rental area at your local ski hill. Recreate that storage situation with one set of boots and skis for each. You mentioned that this kind of equipment is stored outside but: I see ski boots! Where you have a hanging rod, instead install a pullout clothes drying rack. Put one over the laundry sink too. The white organizer looks disfunctional in that it seems stuff can tumble out easily and it's too hard to see what's at the bottom of each bin. A basket or drawer on a bench is best in my experience, those cube organizers are ok too but then they have to pull a drawer out and hold it while they search. Instead I would put a deep bench or two under the hooks and set baskets on it. A coffee table actually works well for this. Put boot trays in front of it to catch drips. The hooks are too high for anyone under twelve to reach independently. Lower them for the kids. Add shelves above them. Having said that, I don't see any toddler stuff here. Time for peeps to get responsible.

There have been some changes since the first configuration. My health has taken a downhill tumble in the past couple of years. Behind the vacuum you will see an oxygen tank. It’s for emergency use but is very easy to get out. I can pull the vac straight out and to the right. Then wheel out the tank, put the vac back in place, and go on my way. I somehow designed just the right spot for it five years bfore I needed it. I have started feeding a few feral cats since the no-kill shelters quit accepting them when COVID hit. The shop vac had to go back downstairs to make room for the pet food bin. It holds 20-25 lbs. of cat food. To the right of it is seven smaller oxygen bottles and a holster to ”wear” them. I added nails on the back wall to hang Swiffer dusters, fly swatters, and other dusters from. The second shelf up has a 3-gallon bucket of sunflower seeds for the birds. DH does 95% of the wild bird feeding now. When the tray feeder on the porch gets low, I can refill it from here without having to go across the house, out the mudroom, down the steeper steps, across the patio, and into the garage. My purse lives on this shelf too. My wallet and all ID/Medical cards, sunglasses, keys, phone charger, checkbook, clean masks, a couple days worth of all medications, etc., are always in my purse - a preparedness lesson I learned long ago while in the Air Force. I can ”grab and go.” I just used the food processor and did have return it to the plastic bag. its wearing my gardening hat. I need to make it a ”tea cozy” type cover. Can you tell my DH has a Swiffer addiction? Personally, I think a broom and a slightly damp mop is just as good, but since he does most of the floor cleaning, he gets to pick his tools. The rolled up paper looking out of place on the first solid shelf is the blueprints for our planned covered porch. We are waiting for the contractor to get us on his schedule.
