NEW: Left-Over-Winter-Sowing Round Robin

We already have 13 GW members that have sign-up. Sign-ups will be open until December 30th. This round robin is for your left-over seed from your winter sowing. I never done a round robin, so give me some time to put together the details.

Hi all... I replied to a message I recieved in my email and I thought the reply would be posted on this board, but I see it is not here. If it does turn up, forgive the double post..... "Gosh I had no idea that this (my original post) would cause a bit of "fuss" if I can use that word and no one gets upset. I just thought that a swap might be done, (and) that it was not too early to "think" about doing it and would host no problem becasue I had the time. Someone else suggested I might want to take over another persons. Let me say I am not looking to step on any ones toes, and certainly would rather start "my own" if it takes the hassel out of things, so to speak due to my original posting. I just kinda feel if there are folks that want to think about doing a swap now, and want to swap with me and others that I would host, because I am retired and have the time. Nancy. PS... I might add I don't look at this as being "my own", it is just a figure of speech. I am happy to join a swap, if some one else wants to host it. Or I can put in the time and do it. It really makes no difference to me. I don't think there should be any feelings of toes being stepped on or hurt feelings. We are not children right? If someone has shown they are responsibe and can do this fine, if however another person starts one, a person should not be offended. At some point in our lives we all want to "step up and be noticed" I think in one way or another. And this is a way for some folks to have that notice, and there is nothing wrong with that. The thing that is honorable in the effort, is the "carring it thru to the end (or till the seeds come up.. hee hee..)", not many of us can do that. So, as far as I am concerned... I have seeds and if there is a round robin, called Winter sow or "put it in the ground and grow it"... I don't much care. I am simply interested in a swap. Have a nice day all.

OK folks, I think I DID manage to mess this up. I think I misunderstood how Round Robins work and am in the process of getting some feedback from the nice folks over in the Round Robins forum. When I get a better idea of where I went wrong I will post in here IMMEDIATELY. In addition, the Robin has NOT taken flight yet. I have had a LOT of unexpected company and things got delayed. So I started getting organized to send this Robin up in the wild blue yonder and then I started realizing someting wasn't making sense. I am expecting to get it resolved today and I PROMISE PROMISE PROMISE I will get it in the mail tomorrow - pending getting some answers from the emails I sent out of course! lol I sent my questions to 15 individuals on the Round Robin forum and have already gotten one reply. Unfortunately they were a Newbie as well! lol So I'm hoping more answers will be arriving shortly. I've posted the seed pics on 3 different forums but still havent gotten an ID yet. I've tried searching seed ID web sites also but no luck. I'm really really curious! Help anyone, anyone ??? There was only one seed of each type. Think I'll plant the white one and see what i get....such anticipation! hope it grows something wonderful :)

Today has been the BESTEST day ever!! I finally had enough extra $$ to go buy the soil and amendments I need to do my WS'ing. Then my grandmother asked me to go w/ her and my aunt to Costco to p/u the items for a reunion this wkend. They always have me cook most everything. I suppose that's a compliment! lol Meanwhile she kept offering to buy me this n that and ended up buying me almost $100 worth of groceries (what a HUGE blessing right now!!) Then I was browsing some cookbooks and found a FANTASTIC huge cookbook on baking homemade bread and alllll kinds of bakery items. I planned to buy it myself, and she insisted on buying that too, then asked if I was going to use a bread machine to make the bread, I said no, gonna do it the old fashioned way! We don't own one. She says well, you do now. She got one for Christmas and didn't want it so it's brand spanking new! WOOHOOOOOO!!! THEN she handed me $100 to go towards a $350 tire purchase I'm saving to make. This day was better than Christmas!! lol THEN I got home and the mailman knocked on my door with the RR box!! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!! I've got to run now to p/u kids from school tho I'm dying to get my hands into it! I'll post again this eve w/ an update of what goodies I decided I couldn't live w/out! :) Oh.. and I gotta brag.. it's 67degrees and SUNNY today!! ~Happy me

Ok, here goes.

The deadline to have seeds to me will January 14th.If you are running a day or two late please let me know and I will be a bit flexible on this

I will post as I receive the packages who I have received from. If you need to drop out for any reason please just let me know! Don't forget to put return postage and an address label in your package and USE A BUBBLE MAILER!! Also you can send me a wish list.If anyone has any questions also don't hesitate to email me and ask or post on the thread and I will answer as soon as I can! Thanks to everyone who is participating!!
This swap is for winter sow seeds. There is no minimum of packets to send but the more you send the more variety everyone gets!
Here is how it will work. Everyone will send their seeds to me in a bubble mailer with an address label and return postage inside. You can send as many packs as you want but only 5 max of each variety, that way we keep the mix good! You will get however many packets back that you sent in and I will try to include a bonus for each player from my own stash. Everyone can send a want list and a don't want list and I will do my best to fill some of them,
I only ask that you post it here, too. As many people as wants to can join.
