Does look like a frosty pink - one of the old stalwarts. But as jesus said, it could be any. I had a frosty pink years ago, and the blooms looked like that, kind of a "quilted" look. I always enjoyed it - and don't know why I don't have one now. It was always one of the most strongly scented brugs I had. Roses. Always smelled like roses to me. Thank you for the beautiful pics - I think I'll get one for myself. (Short/small brug, stays a manageable size.)

There is a group of us gardenwebbers that get together a couple of times a year for a plant swap and Bar-B-Q. Some of us ladies get together thru out the year, visiting each others gardens and swapping plants and going to plant sales and nurseries together. It is one of these ladies who I visited with that I received these plants from. It is now her turn to visit with me and we hope to make a side trip to Gardino's nursery. Denise....there is a yellow heushkeliana and I think that is what I may have. It does have peduncles on it now and they sure do look like all the photo's I see. I just wish I could get a good picture to show ya'll. Would make me feel so much better if it was confirmed. You confirmed my thoughts pretty much on the others.#8 has to be some kind of a publicalyx, #5 has me baffled too. Several of these Hoya's have the huge leaves with stout vines. And I think I read somewhere that you are a big fan of the big leaf hoya's. pugluvr I feel very fortunate that I received these plants from this wonderful and generous lady. I and this fellah are amazed that when he went to trim down the sumac bush as somebody had the bright idea of putting one in the garden and never bothered to trim it or look after it and it just went wild. He was out there clipping it down with the shears when he withdrew his arm there was blood on it from a thorn and he knew that no sumac bush had thorns when he cut a bit further did a double take at seeing pink roses that were engulfed by it. He continued to trim it down and came upon more and more roses!!! They were even in bloom and others in bud. Everybody we told was astounded that were roses actually growing there all this time. Must have been there for 7 years or more. I have only been living in the seniors apartment for 3 years so they aren't mine. Does anybody know what ones these are?? He took one of the bushes and transplanted it in his garden.

Sorry mumma....... I did a search through all my references to natives, especially W. A. ones and couldn't find anything remotely similar. Will keep looking and if anything crops up I'll post it. By the way, why not try the Perth Bot gdns, maybe they might throw some light on it. If you get an answer I'd like to know. P.S. Certainly an intriguing flower!
