There is a group of us gardenwebbers that get together a couple of times a year for a plant swap and Bar-B-Q. Some of us ladies get together thru out the year, visiting each others gardens and swapping plants and going to plant sales and nurseries together. It is one of these ladies who I visited with that I received these plants from. It is now her turn to visit with me and we hope to make a side trip to Gardino's nursery. Denise....there is a yellow heushkeliana and I think that is what I may have. It does have peduncles on it now and they sure do look like all the photo's I see. I just wish I could get a good picture to show ya'll. Would make me feel so much better if it was confirmed. You confirmed my thoughts pretty much on the others.#8 has to be some kind of a publicalyx, #5 has me baffled too. Several of these Hoya's have the huge leaves with stout vines. And I think I read somewhere that you are a big fan of the big leaf hoya's. pugluvr I feel very fortunate that I received these plants from this wonderful and generous lady. That's a pretty flower- do you have any thoughts about how old the plant might be? Do you think it was part of the house's original landscaping? I do recommend that you cross-post your request to the Roses forum, since you're likely to get good advice about how best to move the rose out of the Danger Zone. Even without knowing what variety you've got, most roses like a sunny spot with good drainage. I wonder how large it might get if you move it to a better spot? You might also get an ID over at the Rose Forum since there seems to be more traffic there, but you'll probably want to post a few close-up photos of the flower, stems prickles, buds, whatever you think may help with the ID. And if you can give some info about where in Zone 6 the rose is, that may also help. Good luck, Virginia

Echeveria "Lola". Looking nice. Watering depends on your soil, if you haven't repotted this before, chances are the soil is too heavy and water-retaining and your plants will be prone to root rot, so I would look into proper succulent soil mix on this forum, 50/50 perlite and cactus soil is a quick fix. If you get your soil sorted out, watering them every 7-10 days or 10-14 days should be adequate. I'm mostly just copying/pasting what i said in your other thread, since you're asking the same questions

Tracy, I still weigh them on a digital scale and keep a log if I really want to be on top of it. But when they are left for more than a week, I'll just drench the mix and at the instance I would definitely hear the sizzling sound, which is a big indication for me that the mix is definitely dry/part dry. I usually watering until I stop hearing the sizzle. I did notice though, that some pots dry much faster than others, knowing that the plants take in more water. ie my Gollum Jade, it shows the deflation pretty easily when I neglect on my watering. I'm with k8 as well on dunking if you want to ensure the mix is completely hydrated. Sometimes I can still hear the sizzle after my 4th time watering the mix. - Bernard
