Barbra. the fancy cone flowers you traded to me at the swap are starting to bloom some very interesting flowers.

Very pretty, Barbra! On your recommendation, I ordered day lilies from Maryott's last year. Some of mine are blooming now too. They really have nice day lilies. 'Off Beat' is one I got also.

How pretty, Barbra ............love both daylilies and hibiscus. I have a hibiscus called Chad that I'll bet could live inground in Rockport..........I have to overwinter all tropicals in the greenhouse.

Very pretty ! I went to a day lily farm yesterday. The couple live in Pearland and have their farm in the neighbouring property. They had several varietiies of day lily's. I had a great time, I was looking for some companion plants for my roses. Here is a link to the farm..

Jim, I am so glad you took my advise and got the dayliles from Maryott's. The 3 dayliles blooming right are all Maryott introductions. They seem to like our Texas heat. They are the only ones blooming right now. I love Annabell's blush, and Off Beat they bloom non stop. I did give them some cow manure,but I gave it to all my dayliles, these 3 are just going crazy. Those lillies look great. The boss lady will want me to get her some if I show her the pics. I also have a couple of the tropical hibes that you showed pics of. Mine have not started blooming yet, they are still recovering from the winter.
I think I'm making a fast run down to AP this week wed-thur. I need to catch up on my painting, and make pretty.
I saw the post on the white hummer. Did you get to see it this spring? maybe it will come back this fall.
I think I'll get to feed them this year.

Prince Albert I use to be heavy into dayliles, but lost them all because of daylily rust. Be careful of where you buy them. I had a garden full of rust free dayliles, then I received 3 plants from a diffrent company in Florida, that is how I bought it in. I lost all my plants. I waited 2 years, replaced all the soil, and just started collecting again this past Oct. Some of the plants did not get planted until February, becasue of my broken hip, I almost lost them, since my husband did not water the potted plants. I have bought 4 new hibiscus, 2 from the farmers market and 2 from Johnson Nursery. All my others are just coming back, they did not freeze, but they are about 1/4 of what they were last year, but the season is still early. Barbra

I just started buying daylilies this year.
I bought them from Wynn's in Flordia.
I hope that's not the same one with a rust problem.
They all look healthy and some already have scrapes.

No it was not Wynn's their name started with a R, I would post it but am afraid I would get sued. I called the lady, she knew they had rust. I could not buy the Caldo that I needed to stop the rust. Now you can buy it online. I drove to so many small farming co ops looking to see if I could get the Caldo there, but they did not even know what it was. I paid $75 and bought a product that Bob Webster recommended called Plant Wash, but it did not work. Barbra

I wouldn't be afraid of getting sued. The nursery that knowingly sold you affected plants could get in a lot of trouble for that. I'd post the name is bold letters myself.
