retry: adding lower branch to key lime tree

Hi grafting experts:

I am reposting this topic, because the original post seems to have some problem and is not responding...

I want to add a new branch on my keylime's lower trunk. The Reason is that my tree has about four feet of clear trunk and it tries to get too tall. I would not care, but it would get too difficult to cover in the winter freezes... I was hoping that the tree would get new growth along the trunk, but it never has, even when I prune it.

So, can this be done, what type of grafting should I use, and will the new branch grow and become large like the others?
