If I get my act together, I can bring some cuttings from 3 different colors of Coleus. Naturally, they will need to winter over as houseplants but come summer, they could go outside. Will see if I can get some pics and post them here. They are all named varieties.

JP, I will bring you some lemongrass. Anyone else who wants some, let me know. The stalks are used in Thai and Vietnamese cooking. Lemongrass also makes a great no-caffeine herbal tea when infused with fresh ginger.

Uh, let me see what else I have.....

Anyone with tulip or other spring bulbs, I would love some.

Ooo, just saw the 5 day weather report on tv and they are saying Sat. is only going to be 49 degrees! But the 10 day forecast is still showing Sunday to be in the 50's (and actually it bumped it up a couple of degrees): weather channel report for Aurora.

It looks like we're getting our first frost and possibly snow this week. Darn!

Ah, drat! I spoke too soon. A luncheon that was originally scheduled for Saturday got bumped to Sunday so it looks like I will NOT be attending the Swap after all.

If there is someone coming from the south, perhaps my plants could be taken to the swap? I live between Parker and Lone Tree. Major bordering streets are Lincoln and Ridgegate/Mainstreet and Peoria and Chambers.

Polygonum, would love some white yarrow. I'll bring you and Marj both kinds of tulip bulbs.

Wow, I can't get over the weather forecast! Just picked the last batch of tomato, pepper, eggplant and zucchini. I was contemplating covering the plants, but decided not to. Time to let Mother Nature put the garden to bed.

I'll dig up some white yarrow and see if I can get a few small pieces of the Table Mountain ice plant.

I can meet someone along the I-25 corridor somewhere between Lincoln and 225 to hand over my plants on Sunday morning.

Kim: I'll be coming up I-25 from the south and can meet you at a convenient spot along the interstate, maybe at one of the park and rides?

If I'm the only one getting plants from you, we can meet at the end of the day. That way, if you have plants on your wish list, I can deliver them from the swap.

I guess we can work it out after we confirm or postpone the plant swap date.

Like Polygonum, I too can come this Sunday or either day next weekend, but with this weather I'm inclined to vote for next weekend! It's lookin' like tomorrow may not even get out of the 30's, and with the last couple COLD nites, and looking like Saturday nite is gonna be in the mid/low 20's, even if it does eventually get up to the mid 50's on Sunday it's gonna take a long time to get there, and the ground is gonna be (freakin') cold if we're trying to work on the daylilies! As of now NOAA is showing 60's for next Friday, and it's kinda hard to imagine it'll be any colder than what we have coming up right now. And if we were to postpone it till next weekend, if Saturday, possibly Amester and Kvenkat could come too. And with this few coming, it should be fairly easy to change the date--I'm assuming the few people that are planning to come will be checking in here for the latest info! What does everybody think?

I have to admit that if it's "that" cold I probably won't be inclined to stay very long to help with the daylilies! My hands get COLD fast! I realized today that I had forgotten to dig up some of the 'Black Scallop' Ajuga so I went out to get some--and my hands were pretty much "unusably" cold within about five minutes! Hard to tell what it'll be like, and if it does get up to 55 and the sun's out on Sunday, that should make it "comfortable" at least, but if everything is wet--the daylilies and soil--that kind of changes the mitigating effects of the sun. Again, what does everybody else think?

I have everything ready to go, and since a lot of it is bare root it would actually be easier for me to "get rid of it" sooner rather than later--but as long as I keep everything cold it should be fine until next weekend--and I'm inclined to think we'll enjoy the swap--and helping with the daylilies--more if it's warmer out!

Because of what I've decided to bring--FOOD--I do need to know by about midday tomorrow (Saturday) if it's gonna be this Sunday, 'cause it's gonna take me some time, baking and "putting together," to get my "sweet" ready to go!

Yah,I'm inclined now to wait till next Sunday. It's not going to be very fun or productive if the ground and our hands are frozen!! The weather channel 10 day forecast shows it much warmer (days and nights) for next weekend in Aurora: 8011 weather.

So sounds like myself, treebarb, skybird, and poly can make it on the 14th. Lesuko, amester, kvenkat, lizinelizabeth - can you?! I'll send a PM as well to check. Karen had said she was open to any time for us coming out, but I'll check in with her later as well.

Whew- I vote for next weekend too. I'm not a fan of wet and cold.
