I got it from Florida Colors, I got Lani Beauty, Makaha Sunn, and Black Tiger, Carol told me I would be disapointed with Black Tigers performance in our heat, so I scrated it off the list right before she mailed them out. I wish someone who has Black Tiger in Texas would post how it does here. I love its color, and wish I could grow it. I called Carol last month to see if she had Raspberry Sundae, she did not. Barbra

I guess its the end of the growing season for you, but next year will be the start of an even better growing season. 35f at 9:00 pm is pretty cold for sure. Im still amazed at how big your plants get in that short of a growing season (since some of your plants grow better than those in the sothern states). It must be getting very good care. Wow another one is branching too. You are defiantely going to have alot of flower opportunities once it gets old enough (many late next summer, and if not next summer, then probably the summer after). And you already have one blooming, which is great (and probably pretty cool to see it blooming without any leaves on it!). I counted all the pots I have (not counting the indoor pots) and I have 87 (so its better than 100, and Im only bringing in about 40). Not all those pots are big though (some are just hanging baskets, others im trying to root some cuttings in). I dont know how I ended up with that many, but at least I wont be doing too much buying next year (only if I find something really nice). The weather here has improved over the last day or 2, last night only went down to 64 for a low temp and highs have been in the 70s. The 10 day forecast shows no sign of frost for my area yet, so I still have some time to take all my plants in. My pretty princess plumeria, buds are growing very fast now and im hoping to see some blooms in about 2 weeks. Good luck.

Tessa, welcome to the forum! Always nice to have international friends join us! I don't know a lot about your weather, but it's probably safe to assume you'd be maybe a zone 6 or 7, getting to freezing in the winter from about now to maybe April? Plumeria seedlings will not go dormant their first winter, but most do their second winter. You may find a mix of dormant and not-dormant. Just water the ones who keep most of their leaves only when they look like they need it. That will vary a lot depending on the temperature and humidity level you provide. Those who lose all or nearly all their leaves can do without water pretty much all winter. Your seedling looks great and may still be small enough to not go dormant. It looks very like the only one of mine to branch from the 2010 crop. Here it is earlier this year: Only the main stem grew much. To be safe I've recently tied the outer branch to the main branch, to grow more at a 45 degree angle and to keep it safe with all the winter moving that's coming up. LatinLady, the seedpod that this seedling came from was on a white NOID plumeria. Sometimes I do see 6 petals, but it is rare. The rest of the blooms off of this seedling have all had 5 pedals. Here is the plumeria where I got this seedling from (mother): And here is an updated photo of the seedling. It looks like more orange/yellow is coming out, maybe due to the heat. Also, this pic is in direct sunlight: Here is a pic of Musk Rainbow, that has similar colors in similar areas on the petals (pink/orange/yellow). Maybe this is the father?
