I think so...Safer is great, but strong & organic...not supposed to hurt the plant, but if it dries on the leaves in the sun, it may. Spray them good with water. They will be fine.

Fascinating how plants react to different things. That plant has an interesting graft as well, looks homemade. Nonetheless, the BH and I are in agreement that it looks like a bacterial ooze from here, resulting from an injury or critter, not much to be done about it except clean the ooze off the bark so it doesn't soften, esp on thin barked trees. Doesn't look like any graft swelling from here, I'd monitor the overall canopy and ensure there is no decline in vigor of branches nearest infection. The additional holes are likely from a critter looking for food or sap and availing themselves of the opportunity. The discoloration looks like the result of wrapping when grafting - not sure what happened with the wrap but something did. Dan

All of our flowering plants seem to be getting black spots. It doesn't seem to matter the variety, sun exposure, moisture, etc. It's our peonies, tree peonies, lilacs, azaleas, and more. Some are in the front of our house, some along the side and some in the back. Some get more sunlight than others and some are on our sprinkler system (with water restriction it's only 15 minutes every other day) and some have no additional water. Does anyone know what's going on and how to fix it?
