Thanks Linrose! I went to the bugguide and it looks like this: http://bugguide.net/node/view/14400 So I am pretty sure it is a Sap beetle (Glischrochilus fasciatus). I am guessing that there is sap in the Lucifer bulb and that the bulbs might be in trouble. :c( Anything one can do for this? I dump all bagged soils, compost and stuff onto a screen sifter over my wheel barrel before putting it into my garden beds. I always take a close look at it, pick out pieces of glass, plastic and things. Whole bones (yuk) should not be in good compost, everything should be broken down so that it is not reconizable. Did you read the bag, what ingredients does it list, anything that would mean chicken bones? I would definately complain, if they are a good company and something got away from them they will be happy to know so that they can correct the problem. If they just make really bad compost you are letting others know to stay away from it. I sorry to hear that your having such a bad time, I hope that it gets better. I have some Geranium Biokovo and Biokovo Karmina. This is their second season in my garden and they are growing nicely to a good size and lots of lots of flowers just starting to bloom now. However, I do see that a fair number of the leaves turn yellow and sometimes orange and reddish, especially in the interior of the plant and close to the ground. These leaves as well as some of the green ones also have some little black spots that looks like a fungus of some sort. What is the cause, and what can I do to treat this? For now I have been removing the leaf and sometimes the stem as well of the discolored and the more fungus-covered parts, but I was wondering if I could do more. When I see 100+ leaves per plant it's kind of tough to pick through and find every one with black spots. Thanks.

Some stink bugs cause plant damage and some stink bugs are predators of other insects so any control needs to be done carefully so any beneficial insects are not harmed. Insecticidal Soaps, used very carefully, can be effective as can Neem Oil products if the Insecticidal Soap is not working, as can pyrethrin based dusts and sprays, again is used with great care. All of those are broad spectrum poisons but the soap looses potency quickest, once dry it will have no adverse affect on insects, plants maybe.
