is this your first experience in a hothouse??? too hot during the day stresses the plants.. each plant individually.. you cant compare between types ... cold at night is worse ... again.. no comparing between types ... i would never use wood as dividers.. as there is no way to sterilize it.. and things happen when wood is laid on wet soil/media ... when the media gets too hot.. or too cold .. then plants react differently ... some will get extremely stressed .. certain temps are required for germination.. and some are requisite for continued growth of the seedling... until they are mature enough to thrice.. regardless ... what i think you are finding.. is that germination is the easy part ... and growing on.. a vast number of plants.. can get really tricky .. i am thinking there might be a greenhouse forum ... but all that said.. with all those variables to perfect.. it would still be a long jump... for me to move to disease .... and remedies ... as a cause ... rather than an effect ... of your problems ... if in fact.. some such arose.. it is most likely ... due to the cultural variables above ... its still extremely early.. remove the uglies.. and plant more.. in a different spot ... by the time they come up... hopefully spring will also arrive.. and moderate all the temp variables ... ken ps: is that growing media.. or compost??? .. as in not a professional product ....

a Big whack of UV is a good possibility, It was fine the 12th, the 13th I noticed the color change. Which means I should of raised the lighting or lowered the plant on the 12th :) The inside one doesn't have to reach for light, the fan makes the stem stronger. The outside one had to reach for the light and there was barely a breeze. It's already looking much better since I moved it indoors and potted it up, Which might give it a better chance because it has more stem in the ground for roots. The outside one that I moved in and potted up will prolly catch up the the yellowing one in just a few days or so. and I think it will have a better root sytem because I was able to bury more of the stem when I potted it up. The stem is already noticeably thicker. And there are some of the little notes I lost on my hard drive, but now I have remembered them :) You should try it just to see the results, Last year I killed all of my seedlings, this year they all survived and I started plants for others too. So I'm getting the starting part down, now I want to grow the seedling healthier :) Thank you Joyce

Thanks donna, I looked at the symptoms of iron chlorosis and it seems like it could be my problem. The newestimated leaves are the ones affected and also my plants are in 5gal containers and the soil I used might not have been best suited, so I could see that I might have soil compaction issues. I never got a soil test so I'll have to wait till next year. I'll try to see if I can't find a fix and update this post
