Scabiosa Achillea Gailardia Daisy: What did I do wrong?

I ordered a non-stop flowering perennial garden last fall from spring hill nurseries. It consisted of 30 plants: pink mist scabiosa, butterfly blue scabiosa, dwarf gaillardia, hollyhock, fire king achillea, delphinium, black eyed susan, and shasta daisy. Almost all of them were listed as "bloom continuously until frost". I planted them all in full sun. They all did great, bloomed beautifully, but it's not even mid-July and they're all finished... gone to seed. The only thing still going are the black-eyed susan (and they look wonderful). The bed is watered every other day by my sprinkler system so I know they didn't simply succumb to our drought. Is this just a fact of life in Oklahoma? We don't really have a long bloom period for these flowers? I think I might just do all black-eyed susans for next year if they are the only ones that have blooms that last more than a month. Anyone else with similar experiences or advice?
