Id on a scale insect: Cochineal scales

I found a fair number of this scale on a passion flower this morning. After pulling them off it dawned on me that I should take a photo to see if I can get a id on it. Of course I knew that I would miss a few. So I found this one.

Scales are one tough bug to contain so I need to know what type I am dealing with.

I had sprayed this passiflora yesterday (sorry butterfly lovers) yet I know scale isn't affected by many pesticides once out of the crawler stage.

I think this is Cochineal scale. The top picture shows the underside when crushed the red dye comes out. Cochineal scales produce a commercial red dye that is why I think it is this type. I can't find a decent photo on line of what this scale looks like. However what I do find shows it mainly occurs on cacti. This is in Florida.

Thanks
