I have tons of chickens but no more flies than I did before I had the chickens. If you keep stuff dry the flies leave when it comes to chickens. Plus my chickens would love to eat flies and would be in heaven if they found some maggets bleh. The baby ducks like them even more than the chickies lol. Anyhow, you could try hanging some of those sticky fly strips out on the patio. I get the black flag ones at walmart for 1 dollar for a pkg of four. They seem to work about as good as anything. How about a bug zapper maybe hang something sweet near it to attract them during the day.

So the worms you kill today will just be replaced by more hatchlings in the following days. The worms grow up to be Drain Flies and then they lay more eggs. You've got three choices to break the life cycle: 1. Kill the flies, 2. Block the flies from reaching the scum by keeping the drain plugged or covered when not in use, 3. Open the grate so you can thoroughly clean the scum away. They do not live in the grout. That just happens to be where most people see them. They travel from the drain out towards the grout as they make a hasty escape. And by the way, they are not black. Check out the video for a closer look. The first house that I bought had pure white trim, ceilings, and cabinets. At the time, I had no idea there were so many shades of white. I figured you went to the store and bought white paint. I would've never guessed that it was anything other than what I would consider plain white. Now I've done my own looking through paint colors and I've seen how many different shades of white there are. Because I've had pure white in every conceivable room placement (N/S/W/E) and it all looked white to me, we used it in our new build, with rooms facing all directions. Still looks white. Never has it ever looked yellow to me. I imagine that the yellowness that you are seeing might be due to what's next to it/reflecting on it, not the paint itself. TL;DR I would go with pure white.

You don't need to paint directly on the walls. Create a sample using poster board or watercolor paper. Paint two coats and let it dry. Then take that sample and hold it up to the cabinets and hold it up next to the sample flooring. Have you ever gone shopping and purchased a pair of pants or a shirt that you know will be the perfect piece to go with something you already own only to come home and find that the two pieces clash, one looks dingy or way too something. This is what you are risking by not following the advice to look at these colors next to the colors that you already picked. You can paint every wall in your house and until you see the color next to the flooring you will not know if these two will work together or clash. You can see the color in 20 other people's homes and not know if it will work with the finishes you chose for your home. So often I wish people would have asked what color to paint before they went ahead and painted and we had to tell them that the color doesn't work with their flooring, but here we are, your asking before painting, but won't listen to how it needs to be done. I guess you should pick the one you like best and we will all keep our fingers crossed that when you get the walls painted and the flooring installed and cabinets installed that everything works together.
