shumard oak losing leaves

greenmanOK (Zone7)

I have a shumard oak that was transplanted 2 years ago (burlap rootball) from a local nursury. It is in its third growing season in our yard. It has started to drop some of its leaves, thought they are green, not brown or wilted, when they fall. I noticed some small black beetles with faint white/yellow spots crawling on the trunk, though they don't seem to look like Japanese beetles. Could these be the cause of the leave drop? Any suggestions for how to treat it?

Thanks,

GM
