Pretty in Pink

I took some pictures last night, and didn't realize until this morning that everything was pink! LOL

Thanks for looking!

These roses came with the house. I think they are SO pretty. They start out more yellow, then the pink shows through as they open up more and more.

And these are some mini roses I got from Wal-Mart last week. Some of the bottom leaves are yellowing, but I don't know if it's from my care or from before I bought them. They seem to be doing good, otherwise.

And, some pretty pink Petunias I've got on the front porch.

You're welcome, Susan. I wish more people would post pics. I love looking at them too. When I found the Oklahoma forum, I was shocked that the Gallery part was so under-used. I figured people would be posting all kinds of great Oklahoma stuff there.

More lovely pictures! I thought the same thing. I like seeing the light on in the window. You have a nice show going on there, and I’d never know you were having critter issues, had you not mentioned it. I didn’t mean to be mysterious about the new ground cover plant from Annie’s. I just couldn’t remember how to spell it, so I didn’t give it’s name. It’s called Plectranthus neochilus. Annie’s doesn’t make the claim that mammals hate this plant, but my research online revealed it. I showed it to my aunt from the Central Valley, and she was thrilled to learn its name. She recognized it immediately as the plant the commercial growers surround their strawberry fields with to keep hungry critters away. Eden notoriously takes a long time to establish herself and start blooming well. At least, that's been true for a lot of us. I hope this doesn't discourage you, but 2 of mine took 4 years, but that 4th year was great with a huge first flush, then almost constant bloom thereafter. Another one only took 3 years and it bloomed non stop all summer. Two other 4 yr olds have never bloomed. If you're in zone 6 or above, you will have blooms sooner and more of them than I get here. She's worth waiting on, in my opinion.

Is it very hot where you are? I grow both regular and PiP Eden and haven’t seen that before but heat can reduce the petal count and cause stripes like that. I’m in the PNW and my Edens are mostly resting during the hottest part of the summer and our hot isn’t very hot compared to other places.

Thanks, Lisa. I have no idea what kind it is. We moved into our house last August, and it came with the house.

Does anyone know of a good database for finding out what kind it is?

Helpmefind.com I think is the website the rose forum usually quotes.

However, I would just post over at the Rose Forum...I bet they could help you.

I love all the pictures, too, but am just an idiot at trying to post 'em!! Haven't figured it out, yet, but when I do, I'll put some up of my very meager flower collection and new house paint!
