It is good stuff. I am surprised you had trouble finding it since I normally buy it at Wal-mart.

You are so welcome and i'm glad it worked for y'all.

I usually find it at Wal-Mart too. It isn't with the regular hand lotion at our W-M, but is with some of the first aid supplies....like the cortisone itch creams and Caladryl and stuff.

Although I prefer to use udder balm and one of my new favorites....Lavender and Chamomile Petroleum Jelly....BEFORE my hands get to the cracked and hurting stage, Zimm's is just the thing when the cracking or extreme dryness occurs. I ALWAYS have both kinds of Zimm's around, too, because the firefighting is often hard on DH's and DS's hands too.

When I first heard of this product, I couldn't believe what the name of it was. I bought some and had a tube at my desk. At that time I worked in the courthouse and I had several windows in front of me that faced a line of windows across the hall. One day there was a very large young man at those windows across the hall and he had his elbows up on the shelf and was leaning forward a bit. His jeans were about two sizes two big and his t-shirt about two sizes too short, --- you get the picture.

This attorney came up to my desk and said, "Can you see that?"

I said, "Yeh, why don't you take him this?" and handed him a tube of Zimms. I thought I was going to have to resusitate him. Sorry, I can't see a tube without remembering the look on his face.

No wonder I couldn't find it at WalMart. I kept looking on the hand lotion aisle for it, and in the pharmacy where they sell the lotion for cracked heels. I thought it was because we have, believe it or not, a MINI Super Center, LOL. Meaning a small WalMart that sells groceries. I thought maybe they just didn't carry it here because the store is small, but I had also looked at the Ada WalMart and couldn't find it there either. I guess I should have just posted then, and you could have told me where to look. :) DH has been whining around all winter about his poor fingers, and nothing he tried helped until now.

I personally am not a lotion type person. I just don't much like lotion even when my hands get dry. But DH really suffers in the winter and always gets cracks on the tips of his fingers. I was amazed at how fast that Zim's cream cured his fingers. I really do thank you for the tip, and Soonergrandmom, thanks so much for the laugh. :)

Yeah, I was wondering if the makers of this stuff hired marketers and if so, whatever they paid them, they paid too much! I'm afraid to Google that.

Years ago, I worked for that large petroleum company in Bartlesville. A bunch of us girls decided to start a "crack collection". We were inspired by the guys who came periodically to work on our phones and they would have to crawl under our desks. Where possible, we started taking pictures. One of the girls got a great one of a guy out in a front yard, reaching down to turn off/on the water. I got one when some men came to trim my parents trees and this guy sat on the steps of their front porch to eat his lunch.

I am just thrilled the crack cream worked for your DH. I think that dry, cracking skin is one of the most painful things. I am not much of a lotion person either, in general, but I do have to take care of my hands when I'm doing a lot of outside work.

I always kept my radio on WBAP (820) when we lived in Fort Worth as they always had the best morning drive DJs and the absolute best local news and weather. It was on a series of radio ads run during the afternoon on WBAP that I learned about many years ago. I think in recent years I've seen a coupon or two for Zimm's in the Sunday paper, but not often.

Silly girls! I've seen a product with a name that is even sillier than Zimm's. I'll google it and link it so you can have a good laugh. I've seen this one at our local Wal-Mart too. I had NOTHING to do with naming it either. I guess they had to use this name because "crack cream" was already in use.
