Full StoryIs there any reason that you couldn't use any liqueur, sub for the "fruit" juice in a jelly recipe.
Add some sugar and pectin. Will it gel? Other issues?
Brain is in a weird place today.......and I've got lots of liqueur to use up.....still.
Give me some ideas!!
I have:
Sour Apple Schnapps
Peach Schnapps
Peppermint Schnapps
Chocolate Cherry Brandy
Frangelico
Amaretto
Kahlua (plus other 'knockoff' Coffee Liqueur)
I'm not limiting to jelly! Some will be used in truffles.
But there's a LOT here!
I REALLY want to make things for Christmas gifts, but not huge drinkers in my family. A little touch of something is good, or the flavor without the alcohol (most would boil off in jelly, right?).
Bonus points for stuff I can make early and freeze or refrigerate until Christmas. I DO have the week before off work, so if it's even a few days in advance, that's 'do-able'.
