I don't think that your question is off topic at all. Borage you grow from seed. I have some in my garden right now. No blooms yet. I got the seeds online. Thunder God vine I have never heard of but it has an impressive name.

After reading the side effects of the Thunder God Vine I would be leary about using it. I think you should be able to find something else that will work as well but have less severe side effects.

Thunder god vine can cause severe side effects and can be poisonous if it is not carefully extracted from the skinned root. Other parts of the plant including the leaves, flowers, and skin of the root are highly poisonous and can cause death.

Good grief! I don't think death is a viable cure. I suggest you give this vine a skip and search for a safer cure. I wouldn't want that vine growing on my property.

Thanks for your ideas on the Thunder God Vine. I have read some good things about it. The Chinese for example have been using it for centuries. I wonder if you can buy the extract at health food stores...I think I will skip growing the vine.

Borage seems safer to me and it has a pretty flower:)
