OK, Tanya. At your request for others to post landscape shots ---here is a short panoramic view of the right side of my driveway entrance as seen from the street. Sorry, I don't know how to make a slideshow so I am going to post them in a series. Enjoy.

Really pretty, Christine! I love strong colors together also, especially from foliage. Your coleus with the strobilanthes and purple queen are very striking. I have that red salvia. I have loved it. However, I pruned one back severely about a month ago and it is having an awful time coming back. They look better early in the year with the new growth. It gets so red and lovely then. I'm not even a fan of red, but it has won me over. It's always great to see your yard. I wish you would show us more often!

Mark - No, I have not planted the ragoon creeper yet. I haven't quite figured out where I want to put it. The other plant that you gave me that produces clusters of blue flowers is sending up a couple more flower stalks. This plant reminds me of a super dwarf Lily-of-the--Nile. Besides, I have been spending a LOT of time working in the vegetable garden. I will post pics of that in the near future.

Anna - Thank you very much for the compliments. I do enjoy strong colors too. I find colorful foliage easier to deal with in the hot summer...no deadheading. Actually I have another planted area that I could show you but it's not quite as eye catching. I'll take more pictures soon and post it on this thread.

Love the picture! Shade is exactly what I need but don't have. I have been looking at the wild trees across the road from me, hummmm could I dig up a baby tree maybe?

robertupland - The purple leafed plants on the right of the 5th picture are Persian shields. Coleus are to the left, one very small leafed and one large leafed.

In the 6th picture, the pink flowers to the right are pentas. The yellow/pink foliage in the center are coleus. The bush in the left background is Turk's cap which is in full bloom now. I wish that it had blooms when I took the picture.

Here are a couple of photos of the left side of the driveway entrance nearly opposite to the pics that I previously posted.
