Two different mystery garden problems

Hi! I'm still very new to gardening, and I'd greatly appreciate any help that you have with this issue. I have two different problems that I haven't been able to identify. I am in central FL, and I have a raised vegetable bed that's in layers, because I was attempting lasagna gardening.

One problem is with my okra. There are tons of ants and aphids on it; I don't want to use pesticides, and I've tried soapy water, planting coriander, basil, and marigolds nearby, since I read that those deter pests. The okra looks kind of like the ants are building an ant pile right on top of my plant - it's very odd. I've posted photos here for you to see:

The second problem is with my yellow squash plant. I have this white-ish stuff on my leaves. You can see here:

Any help in identifying the problem and any pesticide-free solutions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Heather W
