A trip to Hilltop Farms with the hosta society group Saturday, and I had my checkbook with me. Dangerous combination, and I think DH has become an enabler. He just smiled and made suggestions, as long as it wasn't his money, lol!

And one other strappy thing I can't remember the name of offhand and it's dark out there.

Oh well, I had fun, and that's what it's all about, isn't it?

Plus a few sedums and grasses I didn't have.

It was interesting that about a third of the 1000 plus hosta collection demonstration garden was in full, hot, not a bit of shade Missouri sun. Oscar says they do just fine, a little ratty in August but who's hostas aren't. Seedling babies everywhere.

Nice list Sandy.

I got Lemon Lime from Hallsons a couple of years ago, it's sure tolerates the sun well and is a early riser in our gardens.

I looked up Outhouse Delight, would love to see pictures of yours.

I'm in a subdivision in southwest Gainesville. My little suburban 0.35-acre has turned out to be rather nice for gardening. It's a sorta triangular cul-de-sac lot with a small part-shade front yard where I have a few roses and lots of things like hydrangeas and azaleas and camellias and butterfly plants. The back yard is big and sunny, and that trellis extends across a portion of the 100-foot lot line. There are raised beds around the house, where I have small roses and bedding plants. Slightly away from the house, I have a small vegetable garden and I've planted a few fruit trees--a grapefruit, an avocado, and a paw paw. What's the best way to post pictures here? You really hit the jackpot! The lamp looks very vintage to me, what a nice find. Of course I'm lusting over the bunny box! (it is similar to a set of 3 I got from Costco MANY years ago!) Great Spring and Easter decor item! And your teapot is lovely. I've fought with myself for a long, long time to NOT collect teapots. But they've always had such appeal to me, and when antiquing I find them so hard to resist. So far I only have a few and that's because they have rabbit motifs so go in my "rabbit collection". Terri, it's brushed stainless and I just love it. It is very heavy and has a soft bottom so stays in place and you can 'one-hand' pull a towel and tear it off and the holder stays put. Worth every penny I paid and then some. I've looked at paper towel holders for a while but most look nice but they move or tip over when you pull a towel and I knew this would not work out for us. Here it is at Amazon.com for about the same price I paid. Actually cheaper as I had to pay sales tax. Free shipping on this too, if you have Amazon Prime, which I do. Susan--I kind of agree with you. I DID spend $600 on my digital camera, about 15 mos. ago, and took lots of photos at first, but didn't think far enough ahead to printing the photos (don't have a good photo quality printer) or saving the photos (I live in the suburbs of Bedrock and don't have a CDRW drive and have only a small 10 gig HD). I did take lots of neat shots at first - instant gratification is wonderful. Now I just take quick shots to zoom across the net to my folks and post on boards. My camera does take really good photos, but once you get them down to a file size that's suitable for posting & e-mail, they don't look so great. They are also like computers -- you buy a camera and a mo. later it's outdated technology (like mine :-( ) Jill

With so many here buying hostas already I decided stop in an check what our local specialty grower has available even though still early for here. No hostas yet but did pick up some heucheras that are uncommon and a small but beautiful Variegated Himalayan Pine.

Ken_ you posted in here about 7 years ago on one which you had purchased. Was wondering how it did for you as they can be difficult in some zones to survive such as mine.

Outhouse Delight is not a really pretty hosta, kinda interesting tho. I've heard it makes great babies. Right now, it is a definite green and white stripe, interesting to see how long that lasts in our Missouri summer.

I hope Lemon Lime takes off, I intend to divide it to the max and use it as a ground cover! Oscar had it growing that way at Hilltop and it was wonderful.

Think I will see if I can add War Paint to my Naylor Creek order, if they haven't shipped it yet. Something ate mine clear to the ground. Rabbits, maybe. It might be the end of it, wasn't very big anyway.

I have Candy Dish coming this year too, I love the shiny look also.
