peach pie filling

I still have some peaches left - not a lot, but enough that we won't be able to eat them all before they get bad. I was thinking of making some peach pie filling according to BBB, and freezing it. I did a search, and no one has any postings about this. Have any of you made it and does it work out well? How much of it would you use in a single pie? The recipe says it makes 4 pints, so is a pint a good size for a pie? I just want to freeze in one-pie-aliquots.
