I have so many purples that I probably will not get any. I want to see what some of the other hybridizers I really like put out before I make any finial decisions. Only have a very few spots.

Rita, I'm glad you posted this link. I spent the better portion of 3 hours last night viewing her website. I'd click on a new intro and then click on the babies link. I've never seen such beauty. Her colors and eyezones are awesome to say the least.

I also downloaded her 2010 presentation. It's great. It does take awhile to load it, so be prepared. She does warn that it's a big file.

When I finally stopped, I still lack some seeing them all, I wrote her a brief email telling her how much I enjoyed the site. She wrote back a very nice thank you.

God willing, I will be buying some of her intros. Probably will be the older ones, but they are great to me, too.

If you have time, view her future intros. You will enjoy the experience.

A few years ago when I first discovered Karol's intros I bought a big batch of them. That time was mostly older ones, not mostly current intros but they were all new to me and I just buy what I like. Been buying her intros ever since and by this time I was buying new current years intros. Karol has great daylilies and they really, really do well for me here.

She has some pretty impressive seedling pictures in the AHS member forum for patterns (Sword, Echo, Fractal patterns).

I just looked through some of the descriptions on the Springwood site you linked, and I really like how she puts up multiple photos, scape photos, extended parentage, and stat ranges. This woman knows what she's doing, and she's meticulous about doing it right!

She is also one of the nicest people you can imagine. She always answers anything you end, and it is an actual answer. I hate that she lost last year to rust, but at least, she new it would be only one year!

I am intrigued by the new El Shaddai...the triangular throat is pretty, and I have reached the point of wanting only different from anything I have.

organic kitten, I, too, have reached the point of wanting only different looks (or at least of highly preferring them). But Karol's dark colors are so beautiful that, in this case, I'm probably going to forget about that guideline altogether. I already grow CORONATION DAY, but SKIN OF MY TEETH looks too good to pass up. And that's just for starters. I've ID'd rather too many "must haves" in her 2012 collection! In fact, I was looking over the new ones even before the web site had formally been updated. Very hard to get down to an actual order. I'm still working on it.

That is always a problem with Karol's intros. I want too many...but hers do very well in my central Alabama garden too.
