Lovely, newyorkrita! 'Mt. Ararat' is gorgeous. My first (and at the moment only) tea rose bloomed today too - 'Peace.' It's like seeing an old friend again, since my Mom grew these when I was a child, and I just planted this bush this spring. I won't have daylilies blooming for another week or two.

I thought the petals on Mount Ararat would be more red. I was tempted to pick it when our club distributes plants on Thursday. If you get any more blooms between now and Thursday I would be happy to see them.

I don't havew PEACE but it is a very old rose. My dad grew roses when I was a kid and he had PEACE, bought it when it was new.

MOUNT ARARAT was my favorite of the Emerich 2010 intros.

Mount Ararat is the same purply red color on Karol's wbsite as it is in my garden.

That is one beautiful daylily Rita. I have never seen the Perfect Moment rose, it is stunning. If you have room for another hybrid tea try Double Delight, the best smelling rose in the world and it's a beauty too:

PERFECT MOMENT is one of those Jackson and Perkins roses. What I love about it is that it never looks exactly the same. Each bloom is slightly different and it looks different at each stage of bloom.

I am not looking to get any more HTs now but you never know. I try to stick to floribundas and shrub type roses and old rose look alikes. Considering the number of roses here (about 200) I only have afew HTs. I much prefer the look of many flowers rather than the look of one flower on a long stem.

Mt Ararat is so stunning! Another one to add on the list.

Mt. Ararat looks like a great purple. I'm surprised a Minnesota daylily would be blooming this soon.

She grows the sales fans out in the greenhouse so that she can ship early. She tests all intros out in the garden in the real world and harsh climate but after deciding it is an intro, it gets grown out for shipping in the greenhouse.

That is a beautiful daylily! I know you were thrilled to get a bloom so early.

I absolutely love Emmerich intros. Not only are they pretty, they multoply well, are NEVER splotchy unlike some daylilies in my garden and lots of them rebloom as well as being nothern hardy.

I love Emmerich intros. They bloom beautifully in the deep south too. They have always been true to color and looked even better than I expected. That is a real beauty, Rita, and the same beautiful photography that has cost me so much money:).

I like it because it was perfect from the FFO. In fact, this is the first flower open. It stood out above all the other of her 2010 intros in me. I had to get it.

That is another thing about her introductions that I love. Very few of them had the splotchiness that I had trouble with this year.They usually bloom perfectly.

For me splotchiness has been a problem in my garden but never, ever on an Emmerich.

Mount Ararrat is very eye catching, love it. The rose and lily are nice. Your place will be so amazing very soon.

There have never been so many scapes this early ever before. Bloom should be early this year and hopefully lots of it.

I had a few scapes come up on purchases from a few weeks ago and I was wondering if I should cut 'em off while the plant got familiar with my beds, but I can't bear to think it can do THAT much harm letting 'em grow...

Another picture today because another bloom opened today. Wanted to mention that the scapes are tall, even though its the first year. Love the bloom.
