pickling green onions

david52 Zone 6

I checked via the search function for tips on pickling onions, so I picked up the ascorbic acid, whole spices, and soft water bits.

I have a bumper crop of green onions. Like over a thousand of them, and I sell some at the market, intend to over winter some, and I would like to make pickles with some.

So 1/2 inch diameter green onions, I can cut them to any length and not get to hollow leaves.

Any thuoghts/suggestions? I was thinking dill, tarragon, probably cider vinegar, diluted 50:50.
