What ya'll gonna do with them hosta....

....that are coming by mail. In the past I would get them into the soil within a day or two, but as my gardens are maturing (filling up), I have been potting them up for a month or more on my deck till I have a spot finalized. They get part shade conditions and it seems to be working well. Expecting about 25 in mid-May and will probably pot all of those to start.

Here's a few from last year received in June from the Refrig sale of White Oak Nursery and were not planted into the garden till mid-August.

Do you pot them up and grow for a while, or put them straight into the garden? What has worked well or not so well for you? What about those young tc'd liners?
