What do ya'll think?

I've had trouble ever since I've had a garden with weeds; morning glories in particular. This year I'm gonna try sowing perennial rye grass and white, crimson, and yellow clover after everything is planted. I usually have to mow the garden anyway because of the weeds (can't hoe all the little buggers down...) so I figure the grass and clovers will be good mulch once they're cut. Has anyone tried this before, and do you think it will work? I don't have the time to keep up with all the weeding...
