Lost post - Enchilada sauce for canning?

Apparently my post became lost in the "technical difficulty" problem.

I have a lot of ancho peppers just waiting to turn ripe. These will be dried thoroughly and used in making enchilada sauce.

The recipe for the sauce:

10 or 12 whole dried anchos.

3 c hot water

1/4 c tomato paste

1 clove garlic - minced

1/4 c olive oil

1-1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp oregano

1/4 tsp cumin.

Toast chiles for 3 to 4 min. in 400 degree oven.

Soak for 1 hour in hot water after removal of stems and seeds.

Put in blender and whirl until smooth.

Add remaining ingredients and simmer 10 minutes until blended.

Makes 3-1/2 cups.

My question - can this recipe be canned in pints if the oil is left out. Also possibly adding the garlic and spices after opening?
