Try lime juice sometime too. Fresh cilantro goes well with this too.

i have that key lime juice at home that i use in my water i thought about using that but didn't know if it would be acidic enough. i love lime though.

If its bottled, its the same acidity as bottled lemon juice. My preference is Nellie& Joe's lime juice,a s I buy it by the case of 12 bottles, and go through a few cases per year.

Lemon and lime juices are even more acidic than most grocery store cider vinegar, so you can easily use that instead of the vinegar. I just like the flavor that I get with apple cider vinegar, so that's what I use. It's all a matter of personal taste and yours sounds yummy.

Bela, I made a batch on Saturday, my third year using annies recipe. Everybody loves it and asks where I got the recipe I say it's annies recipe she's famous for it. They just roll their eyes when I tell them about the Cooking Forum where members post pics and such. They don't get it, but they sure like the results.

My mom is making a batch today and i almost have enough maters to make another this weekend! My dad was a skeptic because he knows i can't do spicy and my hub is a mild guy so he made fun saying it was going to be for babies. i proved him wrong it does have a kick and he ate the whole jar!! My mom will probably spice it up for him and add more hot peppers.
