Freezing Tomatos for Salsa Later

Hi. I am new to canning and gardening. I have been HWB Annies Salsa and love it. Unfortunatley I am unable to keep up with my harvest and have too many ripe tomatoes. Can I freeze them whole in freezer bags and then defrost, skin, and chop at a later date as needed? I am going to use them for Annies Salsa. Will there be a degradation in flavor or texture? I was thinking since they are boiled for 10 min it wouldnt hurt anything. Also I hear the skins come off frozen tomatoes very easy. If this wont work I guess I will have to make all the salsa now.
