Hmmmm....... that Tropiflora picture doesn't look like our 696, the leaves are too short! 696 will vary in size and shape, becoming much more compact in full sun, but it's also intensely brick red under those conditions so that picture is confusing to me. The shape looks more olens. Maybe it's time to send a plant in to Harry and make sure we're all on the same page. If the clone in Hawaii was mislabled it would have had to have happened years ago because it's well-known and widely grown here and has been for at least 30 years. Tropiflora is not infallible, they make mistakes too. On the other hand, N. Marnier-Lapostolle is another extremely common old-time plant here, but everybody still calls it zonata (even though I have told them *repeatedly* that it's not)! Ah well, old habits die hard. I probably shouldn't tell you that I did a cross of olens x 696, thereby further muddying the waters..... ;-)

Ricky, Never let it loose in the garden, it will swallow trees and climb palms. It will also lose it's coloration as it matures and climbs.

Hi Gina, no apologies needed:-) people her will chime in on the IDs, it's not a pain at all, and the list is a little less active because it's JUNE, yay, we are all out in the dirt:-) if you don't get a response soon, try this: repost your photos with numbers and just a short request for ID's. That makes it easier for folks to answer. usually you'll get several responses, with each person just IDing a couple plants, rather than one person doing it all. The numbers help make it easier for several folks to each focus on what they know best.

Thanks you guys! I have an Owari Satsuma but the fruit shaped differently than this. This one is round but is kinda flattened on both the ends. The skin is really smooth. I went out and dug around the bottom of the trunks. They were buried under a bunch of leaves and stuff, and I did find a place that was cut or broke off like maybe someone originally cut a tree down. So if these are suckers, the original tree must not have been grafted or it would be a sour orange right? and these are definitely not sour at all. I took some pics of the tree before it got dark tonight. The trees around it have lost their leaves for the winter so it shows up now. It is tall and skinny about 10ft. It was trying to reach for light most of the year, I guess. Normally, the citrus blends in and was hidden in the 'thicket' of green lol. Since the fruit is so good, I plan to cut these other 2 trees down (on the left and right of the green leafed area) that are shading the citrus out. I need help figuring out what to do with the "trunks"..just leave them or thin it to one or two? The whole citrus tree (the green part) you can't see the trnks from here.
