Is this an online MFP course? Do you have a link for that? There isn't one locally and I really want to do it.

You cannot get certified with an online course. This is just for your own information to teach you how to do things safely. It is still a good course to take.
To be a MFP you take a combination of lectures, homework, hands on lessons, and take a final exam. It is only done through University Extension offices. Here we train once a week for 6 weeks, 8 hours a day. Then you pay a fee plus also have 80 hours payback within a year.
Not too many places are doing this due to budget cuts and lack of people to do the training.

Thanks Linda Lou, I was hopeful as my state does not do it. Oh well, maybe one day i will travel to do it. Not now though.

I had not received any information so I emailed them Friday night and received an email back from them on Monday saying that they did receive my registration form and would be sending me logon info soon. Very shortly thereafter they did send me that info :) I took the first pre-quiz and scored 90%.
Now I just need to get focused enough to go through the course.
