Fermenting veggies beside kraut and cukes?

I'm familiar with fermenting sauerkraut and dill pickles, but there doesn't seem to be much in the way of fermenting other vegetables in the recommended recipes.

I did ferment some "end of the garden" stuff a few years ago, but as I recall, it was a bit questionable as far as safety was concerned. It really made a great relish tho.

Can I ferment green beans with garlic, dill and hot pepper?
