Yes I do!!!! between the rain and the heat you can't go out and do your gardening today, Oh just wait!!!! you can't go out tomorrow either. Rainy today too hot and muggy tomorow.
And if not that then I don't feel good :o( LOL Oh well!!!

Thank God for GW I can always educate myself while I wait to play outside.hehe

here's my whining: we've had absolutely NO RAIN for 2 weeks (very little before that) and it's so freakin hot you can fry an egg on my brown lawn. The grubs have destroyed half the grass and although I don't love grass it really looks bad.

Just went to WM to get some lantana to plant and mulch to replace some brown grass. Have to get up around 6am before it gets to hot to do it.

You guys remember my falling due to the horse wrapping my legs with a rope? Remember how my whole leg from toes to hip got really damaged,It still hurts. Well, I started having vision problem on my right eye,so I went to see
my Opthamologist. All signs were that my retina was separating or ripping. The doctor did the examination
and found no rip but the gel that the retina holds is separating and she said I'm not out of the woods yet.
So,I'm not to do heavy work in the garden. I can't stand to be inside so I put on a big hat,put on my drops and those dark bulky glasses for cataract patients and walk very careful not to fall. Finally,I got to do some gardening today,between the rain. I planted 5 climbing roses in my new climbing rose garden and some weeding there.
I am so much happier. I also got to see how the plants in the green house are doing,since I added more shade clothe
so the plants would not fry. It all looks great. I think the greenhouse is now doing what I want it to do. Humidity,
hot and some light not much,just some. Things are growing.
My calabasas have a bunch of little calabasas,the size of a tennis ball.
The purple yard long beans are producing so much. All this rain is doing wonders.The piles of dung are rotting,how lovely.HE HE HE. I refuse to be bound indoors.

Yes I forgot to mention the mosquitos.
I got the lawn mowed but I'm trying to take it easy after being sick (It's a drag isn't it Felix?)
But I still need to edge and weed whack and herbicide
And yes my little bit of st. augustine is being attacked by something and taken over by weeds
We need to park over there sometimes or I'd do away with the grass.

Don't have much to whine about except the heat. Only the orchids and the water plants do well this time of year
My lawn mower died so decided to just use the weed whip,since the front lawn is done by a crew. Way too many corners and edges for a lawn mower anyway.
I thought the entire population of ants and mealy bugs lived in my yard.lol
Might whine a bit about the stephanotis .still growing but no flowers .A red form of selaginella loves the terrarium in spite of the heat and getting submerged every other day .Growing like a weed but has lost the fantastic red color !!!.Took me years to find it and now it mostly looks like the common stuff.Bummer!!

My complaint is all the mosquitos and the ants....! I had dinner guests yesterday and we couldn't stay out longer than 5 minutes due to the skeeters. I keep finding ants in my house - and spiders. Ants give me the heebie-jeebies!

Felix: you'd better listen to your Dr.! OMG! I read your post! Any heavy lifting, etc. puts extra pressure on your eye (due to the blood flow and pressure) and can prevent it from healing properly. Take it easy, will you, please? The garden will still be there when you are better.

I nearly broke my leg a few years back. My knee hurt terribly for months. A friend of mine told me to get the homeopathic "arnica". It helped tremendously to speed up my healing. I took three doses a day and within two days noticed a difference. Didn't need it anymore after about ten days.
