Questions about freezing pies

I often freeze fruit pies when my apples, peaches and berries come on since they're so handy when company comes. However, I am in my time of the year when the hens are laying profusely and I have eggs out my ears. It's also my busiest time in my greenhouses, so there is no time or energy left over for noodle-making sprees to use up the eggs. I had it in my mind that I'd make some pumpkin pies and freeze them.

But, am not sure how I want to proceed. I'm assuming since I have seen them at the market it's doable. Do I bake them first? Bake them done or halfway? Freeze them raw?

Aside..........the market shelves are pretty much bare of pumpkin and I remember a crop failure last year at harvest time hitting the news, and also mention that there would be shortages. I normally grow and can my own pumpkin, but guess who decided NOT to last year? LOLOL. I have a few tins of it but found sweet potatoes would be much handier. So, I guess this is OK too?
