All your daylilies are always beautiful but your clump shots are exceptionally nice. I would take any or all of them home with me if I was shopping. But I have to say that I like Web Of Intrigue the best.

I have really enjoyed all of the pictures. Beautiful garden shot Silverkelt. digginde, your heucheras, hydrangeas, and butterflies are so pretty. I love the way you have so many nice plants together. Nancy VB, the butterfly house on the stump is a great idea, love the poppies too!! That is a butterfly house, isn't it? really enjoyed your album aquawise, iris are a favorite. the masses of daylilies that Juliany showed are so lovely, I found myself looking them over many times. When will winter end? WE got it again last night. I'm stuck inside, not even work today. More and more snow, ice and wind. But then it is gonna be up to 50 on Monday!! These pictures have certainly helped. Keep them coming. Here Jean, this is for you! Here is one of my favs of Bowie. Sarah, the lake is a small lake, and it is the reserve water supply for a nearby town, so it is relatively quiet and clean. There are no houses on the other side, and motor boats are only allowed on Sundays and holidays during the summer months. So it is very peaceful and quiet. A lot of people enjoy fishing on the lake. This is Incendiary, one of my first to bloom, as you can see, and the lake is in the background. More pics. I had to take that last picture through a window, as the Herons will fly away. You can see the second ones reflection in the water at the top of the picture. The Herons come every morning in the warm months to 'fish'

I started downsizing our Christmas decorations little by little years ago. Now I only set up the Advent candle wreath and a nativity scene. We also stopped worrying about a tree several years ago. Too much work getting it up & decorated, and taking it down was even worse. I get really tired of sweet baked goods too. We have a friend whose mother goes all out baking and making candies. Every year we get a giant platter, but I can barely stand to look at it. I'm Greek, so I'm "supposed" to be busy making baklava and all those other Greek sweets at Christmas time. However, I developed a dislike of baklava years & years ago -- probably the result of helping my mom make pan upon pan of the stuff each year. It's not a treat to me anymore. When my mom was in the memory care section of her assisted living facility, my daughter & I would go over there to celebrate holidays. We found it was too tiring and confusing for my mom to come to our home. The facility always had a special meal for Thanksgiving & Christmas, and we'd sign up for them. That way we had a fun time together but without stressing my mother. I don't mind buying something special for our two children, their spouses and my 3 granddaughters. They all live close by, so it's kind of fun to shop for them. The real problem is with my husband's family in another state. I've gotten to the point where I order specialty fresh fruit packages most of the time. When my kids and their families are going to join us, we keep the menus pretty limited. None of the 5 appetizers, 4 desserts, 3 meats, etc. My daughter & daughter-in-law both love to cook, so it's fun deciding who's going to fix what. But it's very casual -- contribute what you feel like cooking. We'd all be happy with pizza or macaroni and cheese.

Dear Wendy, I hope you are feeling somewhat better today - I must ask, when you get in the hot bath does it ease the sensation almost immediately? My daughter just went through heck with her gallbladder and got debilitating pains in her upper abdomen area. She found if she got in hot water it would ease right away, but if she stepped out of the water it would come right back. She had her gallbladder out a month ago and is doing so much better. Hope the phone call with your doctor goes well, keep us posted. Suzan J

Rick, I was strolling back through your garden and noticed the dl behind and to the right of WOI...what is that one? It looks like a beauty, from what I can tell in that photo. :)

Thanks so much Guy's....glad you are enjoying these little clumps....and my walking path too. That walkway....was a back breaker....but worth it to me.....it took many weeks to complete it. It sure makes for a nice walk though when everything is in full bloom.

Happy 4th Rick! Your photos always make your flowers look great. I like 'San Ignacio,' and 'Roses In Snow,' the best, but among so many beauties, it's just a matter of what makes me go "OH WOW!" today, lol.
