I love to look at "Before & After" landscaping photos and thought some of you might be interested to see the site linked below. They are a private landscaping company located in southwest Florida.

On their Portfolio page, they have lots and lots of "Before & After" photos. Note that within each Portfolio (A, B, C, D & E) there are many more photos. For each Portfolio, click on "Full Portfolio" to see all of the photos within, and then click on "Main Portfolio" to go back.

Please advise on who you used for your Canary Island Date palm removal or were those those old Medjools? I'm wanting to get rid of a few big old ones myself, they're so nasty:) Really like that outsider lawn art. Keep up the good work!!! DEF

We did not do it ourselves. Although I yanked out a lot of the plants the landscaper put in and planted what I liked. And that is a little gem magnolia. Already mature. Poor thing was moved twice as the landscaper put it in the wrong spot originally.

yogi_mi5a The flagstone patio was made from flagstone my husband had thrown behind the shed when he replaced a front walkway years ago with pavers. He gave away a bunch of it and we had some left over (probably not the nicest pieces which had been picked thru when he gave it away- but thankfully there was enough to do a flagstone patio and some flagstone stairs for a small hill. I like to reuse whenever I can!

Really nice ! i agree steps should be wider and it would be nice if you could surround porch with same stone ( or foundation plants to hide , perhaps paint darker to help recede ).

Is that a Dwarf Cavendish? Amazing how the mulched garden makes it look bigger and more prominent. And you could put some marigolds around it for an accent. I have a couple yellow ones (Inca, I thinka) in the same pots as my nanners.

Are you painting the house ?- the color looks different.

here's an after - after picture... bought John a papaya tree for Father's Day.

The difference in paint colour is where the water hits the wall.

I THINK it's a dwarf cavendish banana, I got it from a neighbour who got it from a client who calls them "baby bananas, just a finger long."

The paint 'difference' is due to time of day. In the first picture, the wall is in full sun and the second is in full shade. It also looks like the camera may have been on auto filtering, so it adjusted it's exposure between the two pictures due to the change in lighting. So it almost looks like the wall was painted. (I had to do a double take myself.)
