Red and Green Bell Peppers

dcastillo94

When I started my above ground box garden, I planted a bunch of different things...

including a red an green bell pepper plant...

Since Ive never had a fresh bell pepper before, I was really excited when it started growing... once it got to full size, I waited and waited for it to turn Red... (I read that it should while still on the plant)

after 3 weeks it still was green :( eventually I noticed a hole on the back of it about the size of a nickel... (not sure how long it had been there)

fast forward a month and I now have another one that is full size... What should I do? are they supposed to turn red on the plant? is there a chance it was mislabeled and its actually a green bell pepper plant....(is there any way to tell?)

I really want a pepper, but I dont want to pick to soon, or wait to long and lose another one...

thanx for the advice

-Danny
