Lantana camara in wild 'secret garden'

I recently found a strip of land behind my house that hasn't been touched for over 10 years! Its blocked off on all sides by fences, only accesible by an old white wooden gate on my property. I literally felt like Mary Lennox in The Secret Garden when I pulled open the rusty lock and opened the gate door. I've been very excited to explore this area and possibl turn into a native butterfly garden....definitely needs some cleaning up because there's enough dead debris and brush that's just a fire hazard waiting to happen. The grass is over a foot tall, there are cacti that I've never seen before, palmetto seedlings everywhere, and Glades Morning Glory spreading across everything like a blanket of vines and giant purple flowers. I found some messy shrubs which I now know are Lantana Camara, incredible attractants for butterflies. But I read that this plant is invasive - should I get rid of it?
