Yes it sure is nice to have this rain that we are getting. Hope we get lots more.

Loving it. This is the 3rd day in less than a week that we've had over an inch of rain here at my house!

Ours didn't start until after 1 pm., but it is a nice, heavy rain. Good news is I had just finished cleaning out my little pond about 30 minutes before it started. How's that for timing? Sure hope it fills up with the beautiful rain water. I love to just sit and watch it fall down.

It's been raining here since 10 this morning - sometimes hard and other times a drizzle. It's made working in the garage bearable. Might even be able to park a car in there soon.

And instead of the grass going "crunch" when I walk on it, it now goes "squish." Love the squish.

Send it south a little. lol

I'm near Ginny...we're really enjoying this nice, gentle rain. ALmost put out fertilizer this morning, but thought we'd get passed over again.....might have to run out between sprinkles. It's been sooooo dry! You can see the straw turning a shade of green!

Same here...been raining all day. But I'm sad a bit, because today is my granddaughter's 4th birthday, and all she wanted was a trip to Busch Gardens to see the animals. I'm sure it has been raining on them the entire day. So, I'm happy to see it, believe me, but the timing is a bit sad for Tabby's sake.

I can't get over the amount of rain we are getting! Love it!!

I just planted a bunch of new shrubs on Saturday morning - it's pretty much been raining ever since. Glad I got them done when I did - I'm sure they are happy with the rain.

It has been raining here everyday for six days but not heavy. Yesterday afternoon it started pouring,all night long and today it continue not as heavy but a good amount.
I have been planting several cigar plants,coleus,Chinese
bell plants,tithonia and have repoted several plants. I also found two plants of blue peavine in my greenhouse,I
planted several seeds but at least I got two. I also found
some cachucha sweet peppers. As I planted around the pond,
I have been enjoying seeing the rain drops on the water,love that. all my water lilies are blooming and lizard tail. My seventeen year old sun told me to stop being in the rain,that I'm going to get sick,then you better not complain. Yesterday,he told me to use my indoor
voice. I was talking too loud. He thinks that he's my dad.
I just have to laugh and love my seventeen y.o. baby.

IN West Palm it started near 5pm. But went on through the night. My dad always said "plants laugh after a rain". By jove I think he was right!!!

Okay, I'm glad we are finally getting rain, honestly I am. But I don't understand why it has to make up for the previouis 3 months in 2 days! It has not even slowed down...no break at all...since it started Sunday night. I'm having a heck of a time getting my dogs to go outside long enough to take care of business. Potter will go out in a sprinkle, but not a downpour. Maks freaks over either one.

That's Florida for you...it's either drought or monsoon. Never any middle ground! I have company coming tomorrow, and a nursery hopping day was what we had in mind. If something doesn't happen, that will have to be cancelled.

Yeah, I know I'm complaining, but I could use some MODERATION around here. Going directly from burning up to drowning is frustrating. (Some of my plants are now beaten down pretty badly, so those particular ones aren't laughing.)

Trying to keep in mind that everything looks greener, and the water table needs replenishing. But why, oh why, does it have to be all at once?

Of course, the temperature has fallen 20 degrees, and I have the windows all open again. That's nice. But still....

That was me doing the rain dance...I guess I don't know my own power! I stopped on Saturday, yet, it's still raining! ;-)

I'm just glad I don't live in Seattle anymore where you get 10 MONTHS of rain in it's many variations: drizzle, sprinkle, downpour, side-ways rain...freezing rain, sleet...snow...oh, and 6 weeks of dry, sunny weather that begins the week after July 4th.

In Seattle, it always rains on July 4th.

Oh my goodness, I don't remember where I put my water wings! By 6 pm this evening, we had 8". Right now, the wind is gusting and rain is falling sideways. Heavy rain! It feels like a "H" but, of course, the wind isn't nearly that violent. All sorts of noisy frogs are enjoying my neighbor's overflowing pond.

Thank heavens my daylilies are in raised beds that drain. Otherwise, all I'd be hearing is gluug, gluug, gluug.

Rain non-stop today! At least it would pause and just barely sprinkle for awhile before it poured again. During the light sprinkle, I was able to put my coat on and pick some green beans for dinner. :P

Six inches total until this morning. Right now it has stopped but forecasting rain fot the next week.
